Last updated: June 2026

APHVN Limited ("Company", "We", "Us", or "Our") is committed to protecting the privacy of users of our QuitVape application (the "App" or "Service"). This Privacy Policy describes our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal data when you use the Service. APHVN Limited is registered in England and Wales, company number 15968200.

By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

Important Health & Medical Disclaimer

QuitVape is a wellbeing and habit-tracking app. It is NOT a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The content, tools, timelines, and statistics in the App (including health-recovery milestones and craving tools) are for general informational and motivational purposes only and are not a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional. Always seek the advice of your doctor or another qualified provider with any questions about nicotine dependence, your health, or a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read in the App. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your local emergency services.

1. Data We Collect

A. Data You Provide

  • Account information: when you register, we collect data such as a first name and, where applicable, an email address to create your account. You can also start as a guest.
  • Quit profile & wellbeing inputs: to power the App you provide details such as your quit date, how much you vaped, cost, nicotine strength, your reasons for quitting, your triggers, mood and craving check-ins, slips, and puff logs. Some of this is health-related information you choose to enter; it is used only to operate the features you request (counters, savings, insights, reminders).
  • Communications: if you contact support, we collect your contact details and the contents of your messages.

B. Data We Collect Automatically

  • Device & network data: IP address, operating system, device type, app version, language, and push notification tokens.
  • Usage & analytics data: the features you use, screens you view, and in-app events, collected via privacy-respecting analytics to maintain and improve the App.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • Provide the Service: run your counters, savings, health timeline, craving tools, check-ins, insights, streaks and reminders.
  • Notifications: send milestone, encouragement and reminder push notifications (you can turn these off in your device settings).
  • Improve the Service: analyse aggregated usage to fix bugs and build new features.
  • Subscriptions: process and validate in-app purchases via our payment partners.
  • Security & legal: detect abuse and comply with legal obligations.

3. Legal Basis (UK GDPR)

We rely on contractual necessity (to provide the Service), legitimate interests (to improve and secure it), legal obligations, and your consent where required — including for processing health-related information you choose to provide, which you may withdraw at any time by deleting that data or your account.

4. Who We Share Data With

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data with:

  • Service providers: hosting, database, analytics (e.g. PostHog), and push delivery.
  • Payment partners: Apple, Google, and RevenueCat to process and validate subscriptions.
  • Your quit buddy: if you choose to pair with a buddy, they can see limited progress such as your clean-day count. Pairing is optional and you can unpair at any time.
  • Legal authorities: where reasonably necessary to comply with the law.

5. Retention & Security

We keep your data only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and protect it with appropriate technical and organisational measures. You can delete your data or account at any time from within the App.

6. Your Rights

Under UK data protection law you have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to, and port your data. To exercise them, contact us below.

7. Children's Privacy

QuitVape is intended for adults trying to quit vaping and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

8. Changes

We may update this Policy and will revise the "Last updated" date above.
